Hi there!
I'm Tersia,
a creative and passionate Interior Designer based in Maple Ridge, BC.
The opportunity to create spaces that go beyond functionality and aesthetics is what moves me!
My goal is to design environments that enrich the human experience, enhance productivity, stimulate creativity, and, above all, promote emotional balance.
How I became a Business Owner and Interior Designer
My first career was in Computer Science! For almost 20 years, I was “the crazy one with projects” in IT. But deep down, I always had a thing for colors, decoration, and everything that makes a space unique!
While the logic and efficiency of IT projects were satisfying, I felt something was missing — a more human and emotional dimension.
The desire to embrace creativity and see my projects come to life grew stronger. The turning point? I took a leap of faith and left my stable IT job to fully dedicate myself to interior design — one of the best decisions of my life!
Why Neuroscience?
Here's where things get even more interesting! From as far back as I can remember, I've been deeply fascinated by the intricate world of human behavior and emotions. The human mind, the subconscious, and the ways we communicate through neurolinguistics have always been topics that intrigued me.
Discovering neuroscience applied to architecture and design was a revelation — merging my passions in science and creativity.
This approach helps me understand how our brains react to space and how design influences mood, behavior, and well-being. It’s like combining science with style and watching magic happen!
By blending interior design with neuroscience, I found a unique and rewarding path.
I'm actively involved in exploring this intersection, studying neuroscience applied to architecture and design (NeuroAU).
I look forward to enriching people’s quality of life through this innovative approach to interior design.
