Hi there!
I'm Tersia,
a creative and passionate Interior Designer.
The opportunity to create spaces that go beyond functionality and aesthetics is what moves me!
My goal is to design environments that enrich the human experience, enhance productivity, stimulate creativity, and, above all, promote emotional balance.
How I got to Business Owner and Interior Designer
My first career was not in Design, but rather Computer Science! Yes, believe me, for almost 20 years, I was "the crazy one with projects" in the IT field, but deep down, I always had a thing for colors, decoration, and everything that makes a space unique! While the logic and efficiency of IT projects were satisfying, I felt a more human and emotional dimension missing from my previous work.
The desire to embrace this more creative side and see my projects come to life became stronger. But the driving factor for me was waking up every day doing something I'm passionate about. So, you know what I did? I took that leap of faith! I left my stable position in IT and focus all my efforts on building my Interior Design business! And between us, it was one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life!
Why Neuroscience?
Here's where things get even more interesting! From as far back as I can remember, I've been deeply fascinated by the intricate world of human behavior and emotions. The human mind, the subconscious, and the ways we communicate through neurolinguistics have always been topics that intrigued me.
Encountering neuroscience applied to architecture and design, I realized there was a field of study that seamlessly merged my passions.
This fascinating approach allows me to understand how the human brain reacts to the space around us and how architecture and design can influence our behavior, mood, and well-being. It's like combining science with style and witnessing magic happen!
By blending my interior design experience with creativity and knowledge in neuroscience, I found a unique and rewarding path.
Currently, I am actively involved in exploring this intersection, studying neuroscience applied to architecture and design (NeuroAU). And through this journey, I have discovered the fascinating world of the Academy of Neuroscience for Architecture (ANFA).
I am eager to see how this approach will further enrich people's quality of life through interior design.
